Keep the bib portion as it is in the pattern. Keep the 1st panel but make it the size of the skirt panel. Sew on 3 ruffles that are 2 at width of 12" folded in half to 6" and ruffled - attach to the skirt = repeat with 2 more ruffles but at a width of 20" folded in half to 10".

Less narrow hemming with the same overall look. Concern is the added weight of the double layered ruffles..Crazy Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05904726449653476472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734153264286603446.post-41086225000184948382010-12-15T13:30:47.171-08:002010-12-15T13:30:47.171-08:00I can make you a ruffle pattern that is user frien...I can make you a ruffle pattern that is user friendly...honest!
And if you want to burn your fingers and do a double fold instead of using the foot, that's fine. OOOORRRRR for extra flounce, just double the height, fold in half and have double the ruffle. you can even top-stitch it to look like a single or leave it blousey.Regenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07305723527884801037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734153264286603446.post-18496321358370077372010-12-15T13:14:36.714-08:002010-12-15T13:14:36.714-08:00I liked the look too, but the pattern isn't re...I liked the look too, but the pattern isn't really user friendly. I changed it as I went along and it took me 6 hours to complete. I won't be re-doing it again any time soon either.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17484805292551113593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734153264286603446.post-79932157839052297002010-12-14T14:54:47.632-08:002010-12-14T14:54:47.632-08:00I like the look of the pattern, but I think there ...I like the look of the pattern, but I think there maybe easier ways to make it. I do like how the bib goes together with the neck ties. I don't want to relive the narrow hem foot fiasco on the ruffles any time soon. :)Crazy Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05904726449653476472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734153264286603446.post-17416945720221522522010-12-14T11:13:12.376-08:002010-12-14T11:13:12.376-08:00Fabulous job utlilizing your opportunity for embel...Fabulous job utlilizing your opportunity for embelishment :) It looks awesome!
